City Invincible Architecture, Interiors and Urban Design is a multi-disciplined firm designing projects in the areas of healthcare, education, multi-family residential, senior living and urban design. City Invincible represents the merger of four area design firms; Alberto & Associates, Haley Donovan, Berzinsky Architects and LaVardera Architects. Integral to the “CI” merger was the desire to relocate to the city of Camden where the firm could fulfill its company mission to immerse itself both professionally and charitably in the city’s urban renaissance.
City Invincible Architecture purchased and chose for its headquarters the long vacant, historic National State Bank of Camden at Second and Market Streets. While the 9500 square foot, 1.2 million dollar renovation may not compete in size and investment with some of the mega-projects underway in Camden, the architectural design and the CI story behind the project combine to make City Invincible’s headquarters one of Camden’s noteworthy success stories.
The project execution represents the combined strengths that make up City Invincible: Alberto & Associates led the property acquisition and source funding, Haley Donovan/LaVardera Architects led all document production, computer modeling and construction supervision and, most notably, it is the design vision and creativity of CI Director of Interior and Architectural Design, Gregory Berzinsky that elevates the project to its award-winning level. Greg’s creative vision for CI Offices was to enter through the doors of the classical bank into a contrasting, high-design, light and airy, modern office that has been described as “a New York City-styled work space.”
