“Art was installed with gallery-like precision affording a fresh view of the familiar and the new.”
The Process
Interior Design working within the existing footprint for several offices, administrative suites, and public spaces. Currently serving as the ‘Front-Door’ for visitors meeting with the President, the suite was to be redesigned in a style that suggests the history and ‘firmness’ of the University. In addition to key art and furniture pieces on hand, the Drexel Art Collection was available for use.
Expertise
- Decorative Lighting Upgrades
- Spotlight Art & Furniture Collection
- Improved Circulation Through the Space
Outcome
City Invincible worked closely with the administrators and with the Drexel University art curator to highlight the furniture and art collections for guests. Classic fabrics, carpets and lighting were used within an envelope of greys, whites and rich wood tones, all working in harmony with art pieces from various sources throughout the university. The art will be “on-loan” allowing as many people as possible the opportunity to view the collection.
